A380 Production Update: September 2010 (#8)

Last Monday finally saw the roll out of a new A380 frame. MSN066 is Lufthansa’s sixth A380 and took only twenty weeks to complete final assembly.


Our good friend “Schiefi” has managed to capture a great shot of China Southern’s first A380 (MSN031). MSN031 is still going through Body Join, but this should be completed by the end of the week.

A380 Production Update: June 2010 (#11)

Finally our spotters in Toulouse have managed to get a shot of Singapore Airline’s twelfth A380 (MSN058).

MSN058 will transfer to Hamburg on the 14th July.

Spotters have also managed to get a photo of MSN050 (Qantas #8), following it’s long term storage.


She will be delivered to Qantas in January.

Korean Air’s second A380 (MSN039) has been confirmed as the frame being carried on Convoy #11/2010. She will enter Body Join on Thursday, But the tail wont arrive until the weekend.

A380 Production Update: May 2010 (#12)

Late last week, MSN035 (Korean Air #1) completed the final stages of Body Join.  She is scheduled to enter the first stage of Final Assembly next week.

MSN051 (Singapore Airlines #11) is scheduled to be transferred to Toulouse this week, in preparation for delivery in early June.

A380 Production Update: May 2010 (#5)

On May 10th, The tail of Korean Air’s first A380 (MSN035) was transported to Toulouse on board an Airbus Beluga. Korean Air has yet to state what registration MSN035 will wear, But the tail suggests it will be HL8213.

Body Join for MSN035 began last Thursday and is expected to take two weeks.
