China Southern’s fifth A380 (MSN120) has been confirmed as the new frame being carried on Convoy #11/2012.

Just the main fuselage pieces were carried on this convoy, with the wings and tailplane sections scheduled to arrive later this month.

A380 Production Update: March 2012 (#13)

Yesterday, China Southern’s fourth A380 (MSN088) performed her first and ferry flight.

After spending several hours testing equipment over France, she was cleared to continue to Hamburg.

Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2012.

Late last week, China Southern’s fourth A380 (MSN088) began taxi testing in preparation for her first flight, expected to take place later this week.

Delivery to the airline is scheduled for Q4 2012.

A380 Production Update: March 2012 (#2)

Yesterday, Airbus delivered China Southern’s third A380 (MSN054) at a ceremony in Toulouse.

This is China Southern’s first A380 delivery for 2012, and it won’t be the last.

Her civil registration is B-6138.

A380 Production Update: February 2012 (#10)

Yesterday, China Southern’s fourth A380 (MSN088) completed final assembly and was moved to the flightline.

She took fourteen weeks to complete assembly, the shortest time yet for any China Southern frame.

Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2012.

China Southern’s third A380 (MSN054) is expected to be delivered late next week.

This will be China Southern’s first A380 delivery for 2012.

Later this week, China Southern’s third A380 (MSN054) is expected to be ferried to Toulouse in preparation for delivery.

Her civilian registration will be B-6138.

Yesterday, Airbus delivered China Southern’s second A380 (MSN036) and Emirates’ twentieth A380 (MSN086).

MSN036 was delivered in Toulouse, while MSN086 was handed over in Hamburg.

Body join is expected to begin next week.

Currently, only the wings and tailplane are being convoyed, with the rest of the body scheduled later in the month.
