Yesterday, Airbus delivered China Southern’s second A380 (MSN036) and Emirates’ twentieth A380 (MSN086).
MSN036 was delivered in Toulouse, while MSN086 was handed over in Hamburg.

Earlier this week, the tail for China Southern’s fourth A380 (MSN088) arrived in Toulouse.
Body join is expected to begin next week.

China Southern’s fourth A380 (MSN088) has been confirmed as the new frame being carried on Convoy #21/2011.

Currently, only the wings and tailplane are being convoyed, with the rest of the body scheduled later in the month.

Late last week, China Southern’s first A380 (MSN031) was transferred to Toulouse.
She will be delivered to the airline on October 14th.

Yesterday, China Southern’s first A380 (MSN031) performed a missed approach while flight testing over Germany.
Usually an event like this wouldn’t be noteworthy, but as this was a first for a China Southern A380, we felt we should mention it.
Heavy rain and low visibility were the likely causes for the missed approach.
Delivery to the airline is currently on track for late September.

Yesterday, China Southern’s third A380 (MSN054) performed her first flight.
Afer spending a few hours testing her systems, she headed for Hamburg.
Delivery to China Southern is scheduled for Q1 2012.
