Emirates’ twenty-ninth A380 (MSN110) has been confirmed as the new frame being carried on Convoy #02/2012.

Only the wings and tailplane are being carried in the convoy, with the remaining components scheduled to arrive in February.

Once delivered in Q4 2012, she will carry registration A6-EEC.

Earlier this week, the tail for Emirates’ twenty-seventh A380 (MSN108) arrived in Toulouse for assembly.

Assembly is expected to take eleven weeks.

Earlier this week, Emirates’ twenty-third A380 (MSN103) performed her first flight.

After spending two hours in the air, she returned to the Toulouse flightline, and is expected to ferry to Hamburg by the end of the week.

Delivery is slated for Q3 2012.

Yesterday, Emirates’ twenty-fourth A380 (MSN105) completed final assembly.

She took eleven weeks to complete assembly, one week longer than Emirates’ previous frame (MSN103). She carries test registration F-WWAK.

Emirates’ twenty-eighth A380 (MSN109) has been confirmed as the new frame being carried on Convoy #25/2011.

A380 Production Update: December 2011 (#12)

Emirates has announced it will begin A380 flights to Tokyo and Melbourne in 2012.

Dubai to Tokyo flights will begin on July 1st, operating as EK318/319, while Dubai to Melbourne flights will begin on October 1st, operating as EK406/407.

Yesterday, Airbus delivered China Southern’s second A380 (MSN036) and Emirates’ twentieth A380 (MSN086).

MSN036 was delivered in Toulouse, while MSN086 was handed over in Hamburg.

Late last week, Airbus delivered Emirates’ nineteenth A380 (MSN090) at a ceremony in Hamburg.

She operated her first revenue flight yesterday, as EK73 Dubai to Paris.
