A380 Production Update: December 2011 (#9)

Yesterday, Airbus delivered China Southern’s second A380 (MSN036) and Emirates’ twentieth A380 (MSN086).

MSN036 was delivered in Toulouse, while MSN086 was handed over in Hamburg.

Yesterday, Lufthansa’s tenth A380 (MSN073) was ferried to Hamburg.


Delivery to the airline is scheduled for Q2 2012.

Late last week, Airbus delivered Emirates’ nineteenth A380 (MSN090) at a ceremony in Hamburg.


She operated her first revenue flight yesterday, as EK73 Dubai to Paris.

Yesterday, Korean Air’s fifth A380 (MSN075) performed her first cabin test flight.


Delivery to the airline is expected later in the quarter.

Yesterday, Qantas’ eleventh A380 (MSN063) was ferried to Toulouse in preparation for delivery.


Qantas is expecting delivery late next week.

Yesterday, Qantas’ eleventh A380 (MSN063) began cabin flight testing.


Qantas will take delivery of the frame later in the month.

Qantas’ eleventh A380 (MSN063) is expected to begin “post-outfitting” taxi testing later this week.


Qantas have confirmed they will take delivery of MSN063 in late November.

Once in airline service, she will carry registration VH-OQK and bear the name John/Reginald Duigen.
