A380 Production Update: March 2012 (#7)

Late last week, the first A380 for a private customer (MSN002) made her first flight since refurbishment.


She performed her first-ever flight in November 2005 and had been stored in Toulouse since late 2007.

Yesterday, the first A380 for a private customer (MSN002) began testing her electrical systems.


We expect MSN002 to begin engine and taxi tests next week.

Yesterday, the first A380 for a private customer (MSN002) was spotted on the flightline.


She is expected to begin flight testing later this month.

Earlier this month, the first A380 for a private owner (MSN002) was seen outside the hangars.


MSN002 has spent the last few years in the hangars being refurbished. Delivery to the customer is expected in Q2 2012.

Earlier this week, the first A380 for a private customer (MSN002) was spotted inside the final assembly line.


She is expected to move to the flightline in the coming weeks.

Yesterday, the first A380 business jet (MSN002) was spotted on the flight-line.


MSN002 was the third A380 prototype, and has been in storage in Toulouse since 2007.

In the next few weeks, she will be moved back into the hangars to have her new engines installed.

Late last week, Airbus moved MSN002 (Prince Alwaleed) back into the flightline hangars and began preparations for refurbishment.


She will be completed and ready to fly by June 2011.
