Well a few news today, however without any new picture, we’re still looking for pictures of MSN044 (Lufthansa #3) rolled out lately, we’ll post them as soon as possible.
MSN025 Emirates #8 will now be delivered from XFW on Monday 18th, MSN025 will be the 25th A380 delivered in total, the 2nd A380 delivered in 2010, and the 6000th Airbus delivery.
Yesterday did start the first convoy of 2010, composed of all remaining pieces of MSN062 (Qantas #10) and the Forward Fuselage of a new MSN number which will be either MSN058 (Singapore Airlines #12) or MSN035 (Korean Air #1). We’ll post as soon as we know the new MSN number.
MSN029 had been delayed from leaving TLS and is right now flying to Sydney, it is supposed to arrive in Sydney on Wednesday 13 at 8.45am.
We’re a little disappointed by Airbus official statements today, which didn’t clearly state anything about A380 deliveries in 2010, except ‘more than 20 deliveries’, which is not new.

MSN029 Qantas #6Ā has finally been delivered to Qantas on Friday 08/01/2010 but will eventually take off from TLS to SYD on Sunday at around 1pm local time. MSN 029 is theĀ 24th A380 delivered, hereĀ isĀ she taxiing in TLS last December.

The next A380 to be delivered will be MSN025 Emirates #8 next Friday, it will be by coincidence the 25th A380 delivered. MSN025 is still currently operating Flight Testings in XFW.
MSN061 Lufthansa #5 has now finished Body Join and is awaiting a spot in the Final Assembly Line, MSN055 Qantas #10 has taken place into the Body Join tool.
Unfortunately we still don’t have any picture of MSN044 Lufthansa #3 lately rolled out, as soon as we find any we will post it.
Another picture here of MSN030 Emirates #11 commencing her taxi tests. As mentionned by Oliver, MSN030 should fly within two weeks and should be closely followed by MSN046 Emirates #12.

We are also much expecting Airbus’ Annual Press Conference 2010 which will be held on Tuesday (12/01/2010), and will provide details on activities, prospects of the compagny in 2010. We should get precious pieces of information about production of A380s in 2010.

MSN030 (Emirates #11) has finally started taxi tests after 12 weeks on the flightline. It will have its first flight sometime in the next two weeks.

MSN041 (Lufthansa #2) has been joined by MSN044 (Lufthansa #3). This is the first time that two Lufthansa A380s have been together on the flightline. Both MSN041 and MSN044 should fly in late January or early February.
MSN029 (Qantas #6) will be finally delivered today and will arrive in Sydney on Sunday night (AEST). MSN029 is the first delivery for 2010.
In Hamburg MSN040 (Air France #2) is back on the flightline and is now beginning final preparations for delivery in February.
I will be away from the blog from the 9th till the 15th January, So our forum Moderator (FabienA380) will be writing on the blog.

Well 2009 was a bad year for Airbus in the A380 section, With Airbus only delivering 10 A380s during 2009. These were MSN007, MSN017, MSN023 (Emirates), MSN019, MSN021, MSN034, MSN045 (Singapore Airlines), MSN026, MSN027 (Qantas) and MSN033 (Air France).

The A380s that did not make Airbus schedule of 12 for the year were MSN029 (Qantas #6) which will now be delivered on January 8th and MSN040 (Air France #2) which will be delivered in late January.
MSN028 (Emirates) left the paint hanger last week which now opens a spot for MSN038 (Lufthansa #1) to enter the paint hanger.
MSN030 (Emirates) has yet to start taxi tests but Airbus is hoping to start them this week.

MSN030 (Emirates #11) will start taxi tests within the next few days. In the photo below you can see that MSN030 has very little scaffolding around which usually means engine and taxi tests are imminent.
MSN046 (Emirates #12) also has little scaffolding around it and will start it’s taxi tests in the first or second week of January. As we mentioned earlier MSN041 (Lufthansa #2) has purple sheets around it’s engines, unlike MSN046. Which could easily mean that MSN046 will fly ahead of MSN041 even though it left Final Assembly later.

MSN029 (Qantas #6) will be delivered today and will arrive in Australia on the 1st of January.

The first convoy for 2010 has been announced. It will contain the remain pieces of MSN062 (Qantas #10) and a new MSN. This will have to be either MSN035 (Korean Air #1) or MSN058 (Singapore Airlines #12). I know we have said this for the last few Convoys. But we are certain that it will be one of these two.

One of our trusty forums members has visited Toulouse and has come up with some great photos and news.
MSN052 (Air France #5) has been moved finally into the Final Assembly Line after lengthy stay on the flightline. She is currently situated in Station 30B.
MSN041 (Lufthansa #2) has now purple sheets covering the whole engines. This leads us to think that MSN041 will be spending more time on the flightline.
We also have the first shot of MSN046 (Emirates #12).
MSN023 (Emirates #7) was delivered to the airline on December 22nd. MSN023 is the 23rd A380 delivered. MSN029 (Qantas #6) is scheduled to be delivered on December 27th.

This wraps up A380 Movements before Christmas. Our first after Christmas should be Boxing Day.
MSN029 has arrived in Toulouse for final preparations prior to delivery late this month. Here she is leaving Hamburg.

MSN007 (Emirates #6) was delivered at 9:00AM local time on the 12th December.
MSN023 (Emirates #7) has started final flight testing prior to delivery on the 22nd December.
MSN029 (Qantas #6) has begun taxi tests prior to transfer to Toulouse next week and delivery on the 30th December.
MSN027 (Qantas) has started it’s final flight testing prior to delivery in the next few weeks. She will be joined by sister aircraft (MSN029) later next week.

BREAKING NEWS: Airbus to deliver only 11 A380s this year.
Airbus will deliver only 11 A380s this year as MSN040 (Air France) has been delayed into January. MSN040 would have been the 12th frame delivered this year but with its delay only 11 will be delivered. Airbus has already deliveredĀ 7 of the 11 scheduled and has four remaining frames to deliver to make the scheduled 11. With only 11 delivered Airbus will deliver one less then what they delivered last year.
The remaining framers are MSN007 and MSN023 for Emirates and MSN027 and MSN029 for Qantas.
This is the latest photograph of MSN040 taken in mid September
