Last Friday marked the first time that Airbus delivered two separate A380s on the same day. The A380s in question were MSN041 (Lufthansa #2) and MSN051 (Singapore Airlines #11).
With these deliveries, the total number of A380s in airlines service is 33 (11 each for Emirates and Singapore Airlines, 6 for Qantas, 3 for Air France and 2 for Lufthansa)
Singapore Airlines eleventh A380 (MSN051) has returned to Toulouse, after having it’s business class seats installed in Hamburg over the last few weeks.

Delivery of MSN051 is currently scheduled for July 16th. (Fun Fact: Singapore Airlines last A380 delivery was in September 2009)

Airbus has released it’s latest flight schedule, and it’s good news for our friends in Singapore, With MSN071 (Singapore Airlines #14) due to roll out of Final Assembly in the second week of July.

If all goes to plan MSN071 will have only spent 18 weeks in Final Assembly, Making her the second fastest frame in history, Only to be beaten by her sister-ship (MSN051 – 17 weeks).

Yesterday, MSN051 (Singapore Airlines #11) was transferred to Toulouse for final touches prior to delivery to Singapore Airlines next week.

On a side note, At Germany’s Frankfurt International Airport, There are already signs of the A380-900, Even though the exact specifications of a possible “Future” variant yet to exist.

Late last week, MSN035 (Korean Air #1) completed the final stages of Body Join. She is scheduled to enter the first stage of Final Assembly next week.

MSN051 (Singapore Airlines #11) is scheduled to be transferred to Toulouse this week, in preparation for delivery in early June.
